Nanning, May 5 (Zhongxin Net) -- "With a passion for serving the country, I did not hesitate to choose to become a border anti-narcotics policeman. Anti-narcotics work requires great patience and resilience, and sometimes requires enduring hardships unimaginable to ordinary people. Huang Changli, director of the Ningming County Aidian Border Police Station of the Guangxi Chongzuo Border Management Detachment, said.

Recently, the May Fourth Commendation Forum of the Guangxi Communist Youth League was held in Nanning, and a number of advanced collectives and individuals were commended. At the meeting, Huang Changli spoke as a commended representative and talked about his experience of being stationed in the southern Xinjiang of the motherland for more than ten years.

"I've dreamed of being a police officer since I was a kid." Huang Changli was born in a remote mountain village in Baise in Guangxi Province, the son of a soldier. Influenced by his father, Huang Changli yearned for a career as a military police officer since he was a child. After graduating from the police academy in 2009, he became a member of the Chongzuo Border Management Detachment. Since then, it has become his responsibility to maintain border security and safeguard the stability of border jurisdictions.

In July 2014, during the investigation of a drug trafficking case, in order to determine the identity of the suspect, Huang Changli and his comrades lay on their sides in a sealed van under the scorching sun, their bodies were baked by high temperatures for nearly 7 minutes, and they once suffered from symptoms such as lack of oxygen, dehydration, and coma. In the end, the police determined the identity of the suspect, mastered key evidence, and laid a solid foundation for the root of the drug den.

In April 2018, while investigating another case, in order to prevent the suspect from escaping and avoid revealing his identity, Huang Changli hid alone in an extremely dirty abandoned panel house, surviving a long period of four days and four nights with limited food and a small amount of water. In the end, the police successfully solved this huge transnational armed drug trafficking case, and Huang Changli was also awarded a first-class personal merit.

According to Huang Changli, in his 14-year investigation career, he has repeatedly confronted drug dealers with guns, facing the blades and muzzles of drug dealers. Uniforms pierced with daggers, vehicles hit by outlaws driving in the wrong direction, people and families intimidated and threatened... None of this made him take a step back.

"'I don't want every text message, every phone call we make, I want every message to be your safe return.' This is a phrase that my lover often hangs on his lips. Huang Changli said that he felt deeply guilty about his family, but as a young police officer, he knew that this was his unshirkable responsibility.

Huang Changli said that winning the "Guangxi Youth May Fourth Medal" made him feel that his burden was heavier, and he would lead by example and play an exemplary role in both life and work. (End)
