The 2nd AIILE International Youth Ballet Competition is open for registration at home and abroad

Beijing, May 5 (Reporter Ying Ni) With the Central Ballet as the guiding unit, the second Ailian International Youth Ballet Competition co-sponsored by Beijing Tianqiao Theater and Beijing Universal Ballet Art Center opened registration on the 1st.

The "First ELIAN International Youth Ballet Competition" was successfully held in 2022. A total of 13 participants from 618 countries and regions, including China, the United States, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia, signed up to participate.

According to reports, this competition is divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final, and the preliminary round is held in the Beijing division, Shenzhen division and Chengdu division. The non-professional category is open to non-ballet students aged 4-18 years of age from all nationalities around the world. The competition was divided into five different age groups, namely Toddler Group (4-6 years old), Junior A Group (6-9 years old), Junior B (9-12 years old), Junior C (12-15 years old) and Youth Group (15-18 years old), and dance institutions were encouraged to participate in the competition in the form of group dance works. The Professional Competition is open to ballet students aged 14-18 from all nationalities around the world. It is divided into professional A (14-16 years old) and professional B group (16-18 years old).

In order to create a youth ballet competition with international influence, this competition invites well-known experts in the field of ballet at home and abroad to form a judging committee to create a fair, just and open competition environment and ensure the professionalism and authority of the competition. Feng Ying, director and artistic director of the Central Ballet and director of the Central Ballet Dance School, served as the chairman of the jury, and the members of the jury were all senior experts in international ballet art, including Frank Anderson, former artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet and Royal Swedish Ballet, Laurent Heleri, former principal principal actor and artistic director of the Paris Opera Ballet in France, Maria Noel Riseto, artistic director of the Uruguayan National Ballet and former American Ballet (ABT) soloist, Nina Annanrasvilli, director of Georgia National Ballet and modern and contemporary international ballet artist, Xin Lili, director of Shanghai Ballet and national first-class actor, Zhang Jian, deputy director, principal star and first-class actor of China Central Ballet, Zhu Yan, deputy director, principal star and first-class actor of Central Ballet, Zou Zhirui, professor of Beijing Dance Academy and former head of the Ballet Department, etc.

International players who cannot participate in the offline competition can participate in the preliminary round through online video, domestic players will participate in the preliminary round in each division, and the finalists who win the preliminary round will participate in the final held in Beijing; The finalists will have the opportunity to be invited to participate in the celebration performance and award party of the 2nd AIILEAN International Youth Ballet Competition held in Beijing. The organizing committee will award prizes, medals and certificates to the winning participants.

Contestants of the appropriate age who perform well in the competition will have the opportunity to study at the Central Ballet Dance School; Or have the opportunity to obtain an internship place with the Central Ballet. The non-professional group will set up the first, second and third prizes according to the preschool group, junior A group, junior B group, junior C group and youth group. The professional group is divided into professional A group and professional B to set up the grand prize, the first prize (separate for men and women), the second prize (separate for men and women), and the third prize (separate for men and women). In addition, the organizing committee will also set up the best choreography award, the organizing committee special award, etc., and the finalists will also receive a commemorative certificate issued by the organizing committee.
