China News Network Ulanqab, May 5 Question: 1 years away from home Inner Mongolia police helped Yunnan women and relatives to get together

China News Network reporter Zhang Linhu

"Mom, are you okay? In recent years, I have often dreamed about you. With the help of the Dianzi Town Police Station of the Xinghe County Public Security Bureau in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chen, a woman who had been separated from home for 23 years, finally met her relatives who thought day and night through WeChat videos.

In the video, the family sometimes laughed and sometimes covered their faces and cried, and everyone at the scene was moved.

Daily visits to "black households"

During a home visit, Bao Zhixiong, deputy director of the Dianzi Town Police Station, came to the home of Jin in Area A of Dianzi Town and found that 39-year-old Chen had never had a hukou. After careful inquiry, Chen told her story.

It turned out that 23 years ago, Chen, who was 16 years old at the time, ran away from home from his hometown of Yunnan, and then bumped all the way to Dianzi Town to marry villager Jin Moumou. Since then, she has lived in this remote mountain village for 23 years, and because she has never traveled far away, she has not considered applying for an ID card and household registration book.

"In recent years, with the rapid development of villages and towns, I found that it was inconvenient to have no household registration book and ID card, many policies to benefit the people could not be enjoyed, and with my age, I also wanted to find my long-lost relatives more and more." Chen said.

However, when Bao Zhixiong asked for the specific address of his hometown in Yunnan, Chen said that "he was young at the time, and he couldn't read and write, so he couldn't remember many things."

After returning to the police station, Bao Zhixiong immediately reported the situation to the director Zhang Jie. "No matter how difficult it is, we do everything we can to help her find her family." Zhang Jie said.

Police in the two places stage "family search"

"After listening to her statement, the first thing I thought about was whether it could be trafficked? If that were the case, her family would have called the police for help. Through multiple investigations, Bao Zhixiong quickly ruled out the possibility of Chen being abducted.

"Since you are not trafficked, where do you start looking for it?" Just as Bao Zhixiong racked his brains for how to help Chen find his family, Chen provided another important clue: she remembered that she had a sister named Chen Xiaomou, her mother named Li Mouhua, and her father named Chen Moufu.

Subsequently, Bao Zhixiong screened through these clues and found that there were more than 2000,<> people with the same name and surname as Chen, which undoubtedly increased the difficulty of investigation.

"Although screening is difficult, we have to try our best, maybe there is hope." Zhang Jie and Bao Zhixiong worked overtime continuously, repeatedly comparing and screening portrait photos similar to Chen.

After 5 days of repeated comparison and screening, the two found an old black and white photo at the same time. The facial features of the woman in the photo are very similar to Chen, and her household registration is Mengmeng Town, Shuangjiang County, Yunnan Province, and her household registration has not been cancelled. After getting this clue, Zhang Jie and Bao Zhixiong immediately called Chen to confirm, and when she saw the photo, she was ecstatic and remembered her childhood appearance.

After receiving Chen's confirmation, Zhang Jie immediately contacted the Shuangjiang County Public Security for help.

A few days later, news came from the Yunnan police that a family in Mengmeng Town fit the situation. The police at the police station were overjoyed, in order to ensure that nothing was lost, Zhang Jie quickly asked the local police station for the latest address and photos of Chen's parents, and when Chen saw the photos of his mother and sister, he burst into tears.

A special "cloud recognition"

"For so many years, my mother has been looking for you, you see, the household registration book has been left for you." Soon, a special "cloud recognition" ceremony was staged at the Dianzi Town Police Station.

Chen sat next to Bao Zhixiong with his mobile phone, and as a "wirer", Bao Zhixiong also told the old man about Chen's life over the years.

Although separated by the screen, blood is thicker than water, family affection is constant, and a "mother" soothed the wounds of Chen's separation for 23 years, and she finally found a home.

"Thank you comrades police in Inner Mongolia, without your help, I may not see my eldest daughter in my life, I am getting older and older, this has always been my heart disease, thank you." At the end of the video, Chen's mother cried with joy and kept saying thanks.

Subsequently, Zhang Jie booked a ticket for Chen and asked him to go home and reunite with his family as soon as possible.

At this point, a journey to find relatives that spanned 23 years came to a successful end.

"In the future, we will give full play to our professional functions and the advantages of modern science and technology, and constantly innovate our working models and methods, so that more separated families can be reunited." Zhang Jie said. (End)
