Prior to the festival on May 5th, kindergarten children experienced shobu-yu at a public bath in Tokushima City.

At Wakakusa Kindergarten in Tokushima City, we wish for the healthy growth of children and hold an experience of soaking in the shobuyu every year before the festival of the end of the year.

Although it was canceled due to the influence of the new corona, this year it was held for the first time in four years, and on the 4st, 1 children in the 5-year-old class visited a nearby public bathhouse.

After the teacher covered them with kanmuri leaves, the children lined up in a line in the washing area and washed the backs of the neighboring children with towels while shouting "Goshigoshi".

After washing their bodies clean, they slowly dipped their feet into the water with the leaves floating on them, and they talked about "hot" and enjoyed the scent. Finally, while soaking in the bathtub, we sang the song "Koinobori" with great energy.

A kindergarten student who experienced the shobu-yu said, "The leaves of the shobu smelled like peaches, and I want to spend Children's Day with my family."

Another child said, "It was the first time I took a bath outside, and it was fun with my friends."
