From April 4 to May 20, 5 plays will be performed 8 times in eight major theaters in Jing'an District, with more than 23% of Shanghai's premieres, and the proportion of original works, literary adaptation stage works and works by female creators has increased compared with previous years.

The "Grand Finale" of the Drama Valley every year, the "One Drama Awards", will be held on May 5, and 8 awards will be presented on the spot, namely: Big Play of the Year, Classic Rehearsal of the Year, Best Small Theater of the Year, Best Director of the Year, New Director of the Year, Best Playwright of the Year, Best Stage Beauty of the Year, Best Actor of the Year, Best Actress of the Year, Best Innovative Play of the Year, Media Attention Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
2023 Shanghai Jing'an Modern Drama Valley is co-hosted by the People's Government of Jing'an District, Shanghai Radio and Television Station, and Shanghai Theater Academy.
