The third sector Yuri Kogen Railway, which runs in Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture, operates the "Koinobori Train" every year at this time of year, decorating the inside of the train to coincide with Children's Day.

Inside the car, colorful koinobori are crammed from the ceiling, and some of them are as large as 1 meter.

The passengers enjoyed watching and taking pictures of the koinobori swaying on the train.

In the car, coloring books of koinobori were also distributed, and parents and children enjoyed coloring together.

An elementary school student who rode the train with his father said, "It's amazing that there are so many koinobori, and it's fun to watch."

In addition, a man in his 50s who visited from Yamagata Prefecture said, "I think it's an interesting initiative because you can enjoy koinobori along with the scenery outside."

Yuka Ikeda, a train attendant, said, "Koinobori made by the locals are also on display, so I hope many people will come and see them."

Yuri Kogen Railway's "Koinobori Train" runs one round trip per day until Children's Day on the 5th of this month.
