On April 4, Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Choi Ruolian came to Chengdu to have cordial exchanges with representatives of Hong Kong students studying and living in Sichuan. The student representatives actively shared their interesting experiences and learning achievements in studying and living in the Mainland, as well as their future plans for their majors. After listening to everyone's exchange speeches, Choi Ruolian said that she was very happy to see Hong Kong students calmly integrate into the life of the mainland.

When I interacted with these (Hong Kong) students who were studying in Sichuan, I was very happy to see that they first enjoyed their study and life in Sichuan. And they all told me that studying here is an eye-opener for them, there are many interesting experiences to integrate into life here, and they also have their own plans, and hope to (realize) some development ideas here in the future, I see it very happy.

Cai Ruolian revealed that this is not her first time in Sichuan. As early as when she was a student, she had visited Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Wuhou Temple, and Sansu Temple, and the lively Chengdu People's Park was her favorite place. In the second and tenth years after the Wenchuan earthquake, she came to Sichuan to inspect Hong Kong's construction projects.

I saw that at that time, there was actually support from all sides in difficulty, and at this speed of our country, in this natural disaster recovered so quickly, I think it was the concentration of our national strength, but also this spiritual strength of the Sichuan people, and today I see Sichuan is full of vitality and full of motivation.

Cai Ruolian introduced that after the Wenchuan earthquake, the educational interaction between Hong Kong and Sichuan has become more frequent. About 90 pairs of sister schools have been established in Sichuan and Hong Kong, and more Hong Kong schools and mainland schools will establish sister schools in the future.

In fact, we have many levels of educational cooperation between Sichuan and Hong Kong, including sister schools, we have about 90 pairs, and in the future, we are also actively promoting different provinces and cities in the mainland, through this sister school platform, teachers and students can have more interactive interactions, whether it is in school management, teachers' classrooms, or students' learning interaction.

In Cai Ruolian's view, after Hong Kong and the mainland resume full customs clearance, the interaction between Hong Kong and the mainland sister schools will be more frequent.

With the resumption of customs clearance, I think (Sichuan Port) will start these exchanges and cooperation at the youth level, student level, and school level immediately. In the past month, some principals' associations and schools have successively launched exchange activities between the two places, so I think that in the future, with the exchange of exchanges in this regard, more and more projects can be grasped by more schools.
