CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival, of which Europe 1 is a partner, is coming to an end with a week full of emotion and discovery. The opportunity to discover the result of the poll for the Europe 1 Audience Award that rewards your favorite French series.And it is Les combattantes who is the winner of the Europe 1 Public Award! The Franco-Belgian mini-series by Camille Treiner and Cécile Lorne was acclaimed by more than 10,000 voters among a selection of 20 French programs. The fiction led by Julie de Bona, Sofia Essaïdi, Audrey Fleurot and Camille Lou takes us to 1914 and follows the fate of four women during the First World War: a widow, a nurse, a nun and a prostitute. Initially broadcast in France on TF1, Les combattantes is now available on Netflix.

In partnership with Europe 1, the sixth season of CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival, took place from 14 to 19 April on the Croisette and gave pride of place to series from around the world. An exceptional event that Europe 1 listeners were able to experience on our antenna, but also on our social networks. For example, you were able to discover the innovative documentary "Chevaline", which retraces the events of the famous massacre, the humor of our Quebec cousins in "Bon matin Chuck", or the interview of Sarah Michelle Gellar, emblematic Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who received the Canal+ Icon Award at the closing ceremony of the festival.
