Haikou, April 4 (Li Yina) Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports reported on April 18 that at the invitation of the organizers of Milan Design Week in Italy, China's Hainan Li culture exhibition and exchange activities were held in Milan from 4 to 18, through the Li traditional spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery skills and Li costumes, Li folk songs and Li bamboo and wood instrumental music and many other representative items of Hainan Province's national intangible cultural heritage to present to the world the excellent traditional Chinese culture of Hainan Free Trade Port.
As one of the world's highest standard international annual design events, Milan Design Week gathers the world's top design concepts and design achievements, bringing together the most fashionable and cutting-edge design elements and products. At the Milan Design Week, the Li culture exhibition and exchange activities used music, instrumental music and costume performances, and adopted digital technology and immersive experience from different angles such as visual, auditory and tactile to allow the audience to experience the rich and three-dimensional Li culture.

At the opening ceremony, Liu Xianglan, a national representative inheritor of the traditional spinning, dyeing and embroidery skills of the Li ethnic group from Wuzhishan, Hainan, used a traditional waist loom to reproduce the Li brocade weaving process. Models dressed in two styles of Li costumes, traditional and fashionable, show the diverse style of Li Jin and the modern vitality of traditional culture. The nose flute is the most distinctive kind of Li bamboo and wood instrumental music, played with nostrils, melodious and gentle sound, the live performance of Li folk songs and dances are simple, natural and enthusiastic, presenting the life state of the Li people living in the tropical rainforest advocating nature, simple and wise.

In recent years, Hainan has issued a number of policies to promote the systematic protection and development of intangible cultural heritage items represented by Li Jin's skills, and adhere to the strategy of cultural going out, promote the combination of traditional culture and fashion industry, and jointly tell the "Hainan Heritage Story". The Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province also organized a series of cultural activities such as the Hainan Heritage Shopping Festival, Hainan Splendid World Culture Week, and Sanya Nanshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival. The 4rd Hainan Splendid World Culture Week Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, which will be held at the end of April, will focus on displaying traditional weaving, embroidery, printing and dyeing skills in China's intangible cultural heritage, as well as the traditional costumes of ASEAN member countries.
