Huzhou, April 4 (Zhongxin Net) -- Jin Cunbao, 18 years old this year, is a pet doctor who has been engaged in pet medical work for more than 36 years. Every morning, he would walk through the busy streets of Huzhou, Zhejiang, to the pet hospital to change into a white coat and start receiving the "patients" of the day.

"When I was a child, I had many puppies and kittens in my family, and it was very uncomfortable to see them die because of illness. At that time, I would think that people are sick and have doctors to treat them, why can't small animals go to the hospital for treatment when they are sick? Jin Cunbao recalled that at that time, there was no profession of pet doctor in small towns, and there were few veterinarians.

When he was admitted to university, Jin Cunbao chose the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Vocational College without hesitation, fulfilling his childhood dream. After graduating from university, he worked in a pet hospital in Xiamen, Fujian Province for 5 years, and then traveled to Shanghai and Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province for further study, and finally chose to stay in Huzhou.

From pet doctor assistant to pet doctor, Jin Cunbao has been working this road. Years of work experience also made him deeply feel that the relationship between pets and owners is mutual comfort and companionship between life and life, "Our work is not only to treat pets, but also to protect the emotions between owners and pets." ”

The first floor of the pet hospital is where Jin Cunbao consults and exams, and the second floor is the operating room and inpatient ward. On average, he receives more than 20 cases a day, regularly patrols the ward every day, checks the status of each sick pet, and arranges medication. He said, "Every time I see the little ones get better and they recover and are discharged from the hospital, I am very happy. ”

Jin Cunbao believes that the most difficult thing about being a pet doctor is that animals can't speak, and they rely on their own experience to judge. Sometimes in the face of more serious conditions, he will be helpless. "Some pet owners have been misled by online and outside rumors, and they also have great doubts about our work." Faced with these incomprehensions, Jin Cunbao bluntly said that he had also thought about giving up.

"But seeing the little ones rejuvenated and seeing the joy and happiness of the pet family gives me a sense of accomplishment. The happy smile of the pet owner is the biggest motivation for my work. Jin Cunbao hopes that he can do his best to give pet owners more reliance and trust.

Jin Cunbao said that he will always go on this road. He said that in the eyes of pet owners, pets are not only animals, but also relatives. Most small animals have a lifespan of only a few years, and people keep pets, which is a kind of spiritual comfort and emotional sustenance.

"Our world is big and there are a lot of people, but the world of small animals is only us. I hope that animal medicine will progress faster, so that pet doctors will have a greater ability to deal with various intractable diseases and let them stay with their owners longer. Jin Cunbao said expectantly. (End)
