Pascal Obispo has embarked on a brand new artistic project. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the interpreter of "Lucie" unveiled his exhibition "Art Therapy" located at the Musée Mer Marine in the city of Bordeaux. It was on this occasion that the singer opened his heart about his depression in an interview for "Les Echos Judiciaires Girondins" Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Shocking confidences. In an interview with Les Echos Judiciaires Girondins on Sunday, April 16, 2023, Pascal Obispo opened his heart to his depression. The interpreter of More than everything in the world explained that creation helped him to "fight" his "suffering". And it is from this pain that his brand new artistic project, the Art Therapy exhibition, was born at the Musée Mer Marine in the city of Bordeaux.

"Painting and music helped me fight suffering"

"I understood the meaning of everything I've done for 40 years. Painting and music have helped me fight suffering, depression, to go through life," Pascal Obispo told Les Echos Judiciaires Girondins. The singer exhibits a series of unpublished paintings at the Mar Marine Museum. The style of his paintings is close to street art.

"It was to heal my wounds since childhood"

It was thanks to a visit to the Saint-Paul clinic located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and his meeting with psychiatrist Jean-Marc Boulon, specialized in art therapy, that Pascal Obispo became aware that art could have therapeutic virtues. A few weeks ago, onSaturday, March 25, 2023, the singer had explained to the Parisian what had pushed him to make these paintings: "It was to heal my wounds since childhood. It makes me feel good. Creating has always helped me fight suffering, the absent father, unemployment, failures, separations, the loss of loved ones, my grandfather, my grandmother...".

In this exhibition, there are "fifty years of suffering but also happiness," he concluded.
