From the top of its 14 championship titles, 5 Algerian Cups, and 6 African Cups including two Champions Leagues, the Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie is afraid of a fall that would be a stain in its history. The most successful club in Algerian football sees relegation approaching after 19 days of championship.

With only four wins and especially ten defeats since the beginning of the season, JSK is now not immune to relegation. This would be a first for this club which reached the elite in 1969. For Ali Ferghani, the former captain of the Algerian selection and JS Kabylie, the club has been paying the price of a risky management for several years. "It's been a long time since we've been in a situation like this. It would be unfortunate if JSK went down, which has never been demoted to the second division. It still has chances, to maintain itself and we must have this will to do well, and to be positive. But it is really in danger, very much in danger. »

« The most important thing is that the JSK is maintained."

If the Canaries tremble in the league, paradoxically, they are still in contention in the African Champions League where they will face the defending champions, Esperance of Tunis, in the quarterfinals. But for Ali Ferghani, saving JS Kabylie from relegation remains the number one goal.

«

It's good that the club goes as far as possible in the African Cup, but you have to have the same performance in the league. This is not the case. The most important thing is that the JSK is maintained, even if it is eliminated by Hope, it will go unnoticed. On the other hand, a demotion will remain stuck to the club, and that's what I don't want. »

Fifteenth overall, out of 16 teams, staying in Ligue 1 is still possible. JS Kabylie has three late games to play and can still hope not to be part of the two teams that will be relegated at the end of the season.
