"It nests in hollows, in Moscow there are very few old hollow trees, with large hollows that can accommodate a bird the size of a pigeon. The fact that he appeared in the Stroginskaya floodplain, he was simply noticed. Naturally, every year there are klintuhi in Moscow, there are just not so many observers who could detect birds regularly, "the expert explained.

Commenting on the differences between the blue pigeon and the clintuch, Koblik explained that they differ, among other things, in color.

"The clintuch has dark eyes, the beak is differently colored - not dark, but yellowish-red, the stripes on the wings are located differently, there is no large white spot on the lower back like our blue pigeons. So there are differences, but they are very small in the opinion of a non-specialist, "the RT interlocutor concluded.

Earlier, as reported in the Telegram channel of the moscow municipal economy complex, the klintukh was noticed in the Moskvoretsky Natural and Historical Park.

The report said that "a rare bird, considered probably extinct, was noticed in the Stroginskaya floodplain."

They noted that he "decided to stay" in the park during the spring flight from wintering home to the European territory of Russia.
