In mid-spring, more than a dozen tourist representatives from Hong Kong planted a "source-protection forest" with local people near Siyuan Baoding in Sanbai Mountain, the source of the Dongjiang River.

  Recently, the Sanbai Mountain National 5A-level tourist attraction in Anyuan County, Jiangxi Province welcomed the first Hong Kong tour group with more than 300 people after the full recovery of personnel exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macau.

  The tour group went to Huyuan Stone, Drinking Water and Thinking of the Source Hong Kong Youth National Education Base, Siyuan Cultural Exhibition Hall, Manyun Plank Road, Dongjiang First Waterfall, Dongshengwei Scenic Area and other places to experience the beautiful scenery of Sanbai Mountain and learn more about Anyuan The arduous process of the people guarding the source of the Dongjiang River.

  In the 1960s, in order to solve the drinking water problem of Hong Kong people, the "Dongshen Water Supply Project" diverted water from the Dongjiang River to Hong Kong, ending Hong Kong's long history of water shortage.

For more than 50 years, Anyuan County has implemented the "three bans, three stops, and three transfers" measures, investing huge manpower and material resources to protect the source of the Dongjiang River, and giving up many development opportunities for the downstream people to drink safe water.

  "I planted a tree with my own hands, and I come back here every year to see how the tree is growing, and let the younger generations understand this history, and then pass on this friendship and love." Said Mr. Tan, a tourist from Hong Kong.

  Bu Meifang, head of the travel agency that undertook the tour group, told the reporter that there will be several tour group arrangements in the future.

"We also invited more than 200 travel agencies in Hong Kong to come to the site for field exchanges and investigations. The company plans to receive at least 100,000 tourists from the entire Greater Bay Area to Sanbaishan this year."

  Liu Linhui, manager of the Sanbai Mountain Scenic Area Marketing Company, introduced that Ganzhou had previously held a cultural tourism investment promotion meeting in Shenzhen.
