Offer great love in the twilight and do what you can

"The matter of saving lives and healing the wounded is left to the professionals. Let's do the small things around us well and extend a hand of kindness." A Zheng, the host of Taiyuan Traffic Radio and the founder of the 107 emergency rescue team, said.

The 107 Emergency Rescue Team was established on November 3, 2018. It is a public welfare road emergency rescue team composed of caring people under FM107 Taiyuan Traffic Broadcasting.

Recalling the original intention of the establishment, Ah Zheng told reporters that one time, while he was working night shift, he received a message from an audience member asking for help that his car was out of battery.

This reminded him of a team of caring people headed by Han Wenbo, who often provide electricity for vehicles for free.

"So I contacted Captain Han and suggested to set up a formal rescue team through the platform of Taiyuan Traffic Broadcasting. I didn't expect that we hit it off right away."

According to the captain Han Wenbo, the 107 emergency rescue team volunteered to provide road emergency rescue services such as battery loss, inflation and tire replacement for Taiyuan citizens in accordance with the principles of proximity, safety, and mutual respect.

The team is divided into official team, reserve team and domineering team, and is divided into 8 groups such as statistics, return visits, logistics, and technical guidance according to job functions.

"The team has a strict assessment management system. After the team members pass the preliminary examination, they will undergo training and study. Only after the assessment is up to standard can they be 'regularized'." Han Wenbo said. In addition, there are emergency work manuals, team uniforms, team rules and team songs.

Since its establishment 4 years ago, the team has continued to grow, and more and more people have joined it.

From beneficiaries to volunteers, let the energy of public welfare spread farther

Chang Xiuchun is a company employee.

One day in November 2019, his vehicle couldn't start the fire due to the weather, so he called the 107 emergency rescue team for rescue.

After a while, the rescue team arrived.

"They were fast, professional and very disciplined."

At that time, Chang Xiuchun wanted to express his gratitude in cash, but was declined by the other party with the reason that "the team clearly stipulates that a cigarette or a bottle of water from the help-seeker cannot be accepted".

The well-trained and strict discipline of the team members left a deep impression on Chang Xiuchun. In addition, he is always keen on public welfare. Therefore, the day after he was rescued, Chang Xiuchun applied to join the team and became a volunteer from a recipient. volunteers.

"I also really want to help others." Chang Xiuchun told reporters that sometimes when he met a car friend asking for help on the way to pick up his child to and from school, he would bring his child to the rescue.

After some friends learned about his story, they also joined the team.

"It can still influence some people, drive some people, and do public welfare work together." Chang Xiuchun said that this team will definitely grow stronger in the future.

A record 16 rescues in one day "I'm just an ordinary person"

"I'm not that great, I'm just an ordinary person." Talking about the record-breaking number of rescues, team member Shi Junjie said so.

A year ago, Shi Junjie joined the 107 emergency rescue team. Before the team was established, he had participated in emergency rescue.

On the third day of the first lunar month of this year (January 24), Shi Junjie rescued 16 times in one day, breaking the team's single-day single-day rescue record.

At about 7 o'clock that day, the sky was still dark, and the outdoor temperature was more than ten degrees Celsius below zero.

Shi Junjie, who was planning to go out, received a message from a citizen asking for help: his car lost power due to the sudden drop in temperature.

After knowing the location of the vehicle, he set out to rescue, and the problem was solved in less than half an hour.

Rescue was carried out within an average of half an hour. Rescue vehicles spread all over the six urban districts of Taiyuan. Shi Junjie ran across the entire city in one day, running back and forth for three to four hundred kilometers. It was dark after the end of the rescue.

On that day, there were many other teammates who performed vehicle rescues like Shi Junjie.

"The team is a group of caring people who spare their time to help others. When everyone is in trouble, it is a blessing to be able to help one."

Up to now, the team has rescued more than 11,000 cases, and the team members have grown from 27 to 87.

"They come from all walks of life, including the police, teachers, civil servants, business personnel, etc., all for a common goal." Han Wenbo said that the next step is to continue to develop emergency rescue alliances in cities across the province.
