Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev celebrates his 85th birthday. Back in Soviet times, the designer received recognition from European colleagues. He was called the leader of Soviet fashion and Red Dior. Zaitsev gained wide popularity in the West thanks to the dress "Russia" - at the World Fashion Festival in Moscow in 1967 he was awarded the Grand Prix. In addition to design, Zaitsev is fond of painting. Some of his paintings are presented in the Tretyakov Gallery.
