  China Earthquake Networks determined that at 22:46 on February 28, 2023, an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred near Moxi Town, Luding, Ganzi Prefecture (29.63 degrees north latitude, 102.01 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 8 kilometers.

  When the earthquake occurred, the earthquake was felt in Chengdu, Leshan, Ya'an, Zigong and other places.

Some villages and towns in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Hailuogou and Lucheng Street in Kangding City felt the earthquake strongly.

Subsequently, the reporter urgently contacted the staff who were carrying out the post-disaster reconstruction work of the "9.5 Luding Earthquake" in Hailuogou. They said that after preliminary investigations, some roads leading to Hailuogou were temporarily interrupted due to falling rocks.

The roofs of some houses in Moxi Town have broken or fallen tiles, some road sections have small landslides but are passable, and the communication and power conditions are normal.

  After the earthquake, the Ganzi Prefecture Emergency Management Bureau immediately contacted the Hailuogou Scenic Area Management Bureau, Luding County and Kangding City Emergency Management Bureaus, and townships near the epicenter.

So far, no reports of casualties have been received.
