An American recovers a bag she lost at the airport four years ago
A woman from Oregon, USA, says she has recovered her bag that she lost on a United Airlines flight four years ago, after an international tour of the bag in Central America.
The woman, April Gavin, posted a series of videos to TikTok explaining how the airline lost her luggage when she returned home from a business trip to Chicago in August 2018.
Gavin said, according to UBI, that after several months of searching and waiting, the airline informed her that the disappearance of the bag was a mystery, to be compensated for some, but not all, of the lost items.
Gavin was shocked to receive a phone call this week informing her that her bag had turned up at an airport in Houston.
She was also surprised to be informed that she had arrived on a plane from Honduras.
"She was in Honduras. And who knows where she went, too," Gavin said in the video.
"But it came from Honduras. I went to Houston, Texas and from there they called me."
Gavin said the bag was slightly damaged and worn, but its contents were intact.
