On the 7th, a son in his 30s who lives with him was arrested on suspicion of murder for stabbing his mother with a knife at a house in Mibu, Tochigi Prefecture.
A 34-year-old unemployed man living in Mibu Town was arrested.
According to the police, the man is suspected of murdering his 64-year-old mother, who lives with him at home in Mibu Town, at around 7:30 am on the 7th, stabbing him multiple times in the chest and face.
About an hour and a half later, the man visited a police station in Tochigi City and gave himself up saying, "I killed my mother at home."
Her mother was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 10am.
Police are investigating the details of the incident.
