The accident happened on Sunday and the Hollywood star's condition is said to be critical but stable.

“We can confirm that Jeremy is in a critical but stable condition with injuries sustained in a weather-related accident while clearing snow earlier today.

His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care," a spokesperson for the actor writes to Variety.

According to Deadline, Renner was flown to the hospital after the accident.

Where it occurred is not clear, but according to several media outlets, Renner owns a ranch in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the areas between Nevada and northern California.

The area was hit by severe weather over the New Year's weekend.

On social media, Renner has previously shown off how he tackles the snow masses on the property using a pist machine equipped with a plow.

51-year-old Renner is known, among other things, for his role in the war drama "The Hurt Locker", for which he was nominated for an Oscar, and as the bow-armed Hawkeye in Marvel's superhero films.
