Two of the monastery's monks are active in digital marketing and the monastery offers both online spiritual advice and virtual tours of the library.

The monastery's successful marketing efforts have earned them an Austrian government award for "special achievements in public relations and institutional communication.".

During the summer, the monastery had up to 15,000 visitors per month and Prior Maximilian Schiefermueller says that he receives a lot of inquiries from the public.

- The requests that come are about everything possible.

It's everything from photography to organizing a catwalk.

I am careful about what can go on and what represents the monastery, what we can allow to take place here, he says.
