The Ministry of Defense announced on the 19th that Air Self-Defense Force fighters and US military bombers conducted joint training in the skies around Kyushu.


With North Korea launching an ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile-class missile), the security environment is becoming more severe, and the SDF and the US military have confirmed the readiness to respond to any situation.

Joint training was conducted with a total of seven aircraft, including five Air Self-Defense Force F2 fighters and two U.S. Air Force B1 bombers.



According to the Ministry of Defense, on the afternoon of the 19th, tactical training was conducted in the sky northwest of Kyushu, and photos of Air Self-Defense Force fighters flying in formation around two bombers were released. .

On the 18th, North Korea launched an ICBM = intercontinental ballistic missile class missile and dropped it inside Japan's EEZ = exclusive economic zone, repeating launches with unprecedented frequency.



Regarding the Japan-U.S. joint exercise, the Ministry of Defense said, "We have confirmed the readiness of the Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. military to deal with any situation as the security environment becomes more severe."
