On December 2, 2010, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) announced that Qatar would be awarded the honor of hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and thus the most popular competition in the world will be organized in the Middle East for the first time in the 92-year history of the tournament. Qatar has the honor of hosting the World Cup in the fourth ballot, outperforming Australia, South Korea and the United States of America. Nine new stadiums, and the renovation of three other stadiums, which impressed the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), with a unique architectural vision, in addition to an ambitious plan aimed at harnessing the energy of sunlight and benefiting from it in reviving players and the public in an environmentally friendly way.During the tournament, the State of Qatar will host 32 countries competing in 64 matches, which will be opened and finalized in the distinguished Lusail Stadium, which was specially designed to host the final match in the World Cup.

This tournament is expected to leave a legacy not only in Qatar but in all countries of the world, after the organizers pledged to reconfigure nine stadiums after the matches, and to provide 170,000 seats for developing countries, with the aim of developing their sports infrastructure.

FIFA announced the distribution of $209 million to clubs that will allow their players to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

And the International Federation issued a statement on its official website, in which it indicated that it would compensate the clubs for every day that one of their players remained in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, including the days of official preparations.

The Saudi Al-Hilal club has 12 players participating with the Saudi national team, and the Qatari Al-Sadd club has 12 players participating with the Qatari national team in the Qatar World Cup 2022.
