The annual Grammy Music Awards, presented by the American National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, announced the nominees for the 65th season.

Among them there are also Russian musicians.

Composer and producer Timofey Reznikov was nominated along with famous French DJ David Guetta for the best dance/electronic recording.

The musical duo worked on the song I'm Good (Blue).

Guetta himself speaks of Reznikov as a great professional, with whom it is a pleasure to work.

“Working with Timofey is always a pleasure.

He is a highly qualified producer who continues to play an important role in my work in the studio, ”Guetta is quoted on Reznikov’s official website.

The world-famous pianist Daniil Trifonov was nominated for the Best Classical Instrumental Solo nomination for The Art of Life, an album dedicated to Bach's era, in which he performed musical works by Bach himself, as well as by his sons.

In the nomination "Best Classical Solo Vocal Album" the conductor and harpsichordist Maxim Emelyanychev, who recorded the album Eden with the musical group Il Pomo D'Oro, is presented.

Emelyanychev is currently Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

The multi-instrumentalist is described on the orchestra's website as "a flash of light that lit up the music scene" in Scotland.

Another Russian musician on the list of nominees is Kirill Kuzmin.

He is a member of the Houston Grand Opera.

The artist is up for the Best Classical Vocal Album How Do I Find You award.

In addition, the work of the Soviet and Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina is presented in the category "Best Contemporary Classical Composition". 

In total, nominees in 91 categories apply for the award, including "Best Album of the Spoken and Poetry Genre", as well as "Best Video Game Soundtrack".

Among the leaders in terms of the number of nominations is the singer Beyoncé, presented in nine categories.

Throughout her career, she has set the record for the most nominations (88) and awards (28). 

In second place is rap artist Kendrick Lamar, who has been nominated eight times, and in third place is British artist Adele, who is behind Beyoncé in just two categories.

The Italian band Maneskin, which won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, is in contention for the title of best new artist.

Representatives of the old guard, Swedish pop group ABBA, which returned to the scene after a 40-year hiatus, will compete for the award as the best pop duo or group.

Also in the nomination are Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and BTS, Post Malone and Doja Cat.

Moreover, ABBA claims prizes in three more categories: "Best Recording" (Don't Shut Me Down), "Best Album" and "Best Pop Vocal Album".

Norah Jones, Diana Ross, Kelly Clarkson and Michael Bublé compete in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category.

Acclaimed musicians Bryan Adams, Ozzy Osbourne, as well as rock bands Muse and The Black Keys are among the nominees for Best Song, Album and Performance in the Rock and Metal categories.

The winners will be announced on February 5, 2023. 

Leave the Door Open, performed by Silk Sonic duo Bruno Mars and Anderson Park, was named Best Song of 2022.

The best singer was Olivia Rodrigo, and the prize in the category "Best Album of the Year" went to the musician and composer John Baptiste.
