It is unclear whether the number of lost gloves has increased in the course of our fixation on the smartphone in recent years.

But at least for this problem, which recurs at low temperatures, there is now a solution.

So far, it often had to go like this: put on gloves, step out the front door, and off we went.

After a few minutes, take out the phone again.

So take off your gloves again, because the touchscreen needs the impulse of the bare human finger.

Then: write messages, read push notifications, take a call and don't lose two gloves at the same time.

Finger cots with sensors and sausages for typing

There have been various attempts to solve the problem: finger stalls with sensors, for example.

Never caught on across the board.

According to various articles from 2010, the Koreans were typing sausages on displays at the beginning of the smartphone revolution.

Neither handy nor particularly progressive, in times of vegetarianism and veganism.

Then mittens came into fashion instead of finger stalls.

If it had to be impractical and the risk of losing a glove was high, at least your fingers should stay warm until then.

Children's fashion shows how it's done

It only took a string from the mittens to solve this winter dilemma.

Children wear their gloves like this: Once the string is threaded through the jacket, the little ones can free one hand and the other.

The mittens continue to dangle out of the sleeve.

Such models are now finally available for adults too.

So put on gloves with a cord and jacket, pull out your mobile phone at some point, take off your gloves.

When you need them again, they are there.
