The Jewelery and Watches Exhibition 2022 in Abu Dhabi, which will be held in its 29th session at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, until November 13, attracted many distinguished participations of jewelry models and designers from several countries, who presented unique designs and pieces in their pavilions.

The most prominent of these pieces is a solitaire stone ring, which is considered the most expensive piece in the exhibition, as it contains approximately 25 carats of diamonds, and its value exceeds one million dirhams.

The presence of Emirati designers has remarkably emerged, with designs highlighting many elements of the Emirates' features, flag and symbols, and a heart-shaped necklace studded with diamonds on one side and on the other side decorated with emeralds. Adding that the Corporation also announced the completion of the construction works of the Salem Al Shuaibi Jewelery Factory, which is considered one of the largest factories in the region, with an area of ​​more than 9,000 meters, and an initial production capacity of seven tons per year, and the cost of establishing the factory is approximately 100 million dirhams.

While the collection of works will be completed and will open its doors in the second half of 2024.

Emirati designer Aisha Bin Hendi, owner of "Toa" jewelry, is participating in the exhibition with a set of designs, according to what she explained to "Emirates Today", noting that she launched her project nearly a year ago, and chose the name of the project because it means "you" to serve as a message. It states that the value of man lies in himself, and that he is able to make himself distinctive, while she chose the shape of “Sparkle” “sparkle” as its distinctive sign and embodiment in most of its designs, and the emerald stone as its distinctive sign.

Bin Hendi reviewed the most prominent designs in the exhibition, including an innovative earring that is worn on the ear, decorated with diamonds, ruby ​​and emerald, inspired by the colors of the UAE flag.

In addition to the “In the Heart” collection, which includes the “Abu Dhabi in the Heart” and “Dubai in the Heart” necklace, pearls were used because it is from the Emirati heritage, and a heart-shaped necklace studded with diamonds on one side and on the other side decorated with emeralds, and the heart includes the image of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Bin Hindi also displayed heart-shaped rings with diamonds, ruby ​​stones and emeralds, drawing inspiration from the colors of the UAE flag as well.

Designs celebrate the owner's personality

The designer Hessa Al Falahi, owner of "Marami Jewelry", displayed a large collection of necklaces and rings that were adorned with pictures of Their Highnesses, the rulers of the UAE.

While the sisters Abeer and Reem Al-Rubaidi, owners of "Abali Jewelery", presented their designs inspired by the Emirati and Arab heritage, as they combine pearls and Arabic calligraphy, and are distinguished that each design is a unique piece that does not repeat, and expresses the personality of its owner.

The designer, Amna Mahmoud, presented various designs, most notably the “My Colors” collection, which relies on the idea that the piece reflects the color that expresses the personality of its owner. About the way he sees himself.

Pointing out that the pieces she designed and manufactured are made of gold covered with a layer of enamel, and they can be decorated with diamonds or different gemstones, and they can appear on one side as if they were painted white, and on the other side as if they were painted black.

The Jewelery and Watches Exhibition 2022 in Abu Dhabi, in its current session, is witnessing the participation of more than 110 exhibitors from major companies and brands specialized in designing and manufacturing watches, jewelry and goldware from the UAE, India, Italy, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and other countries of the world, across two pavilions extending over a total area equivalent to 9,243 square meters. These include the International Design Fair and the Emirati Design Fair.

This year's edition is witnessing a noticeable increase in the number of participating exhibitors by 21% compared to last year, as a result of the public's desire to buy gold and jewelry.
