He got $750,000 by mistake and spent them within hours

Australian rapper Abdel Ghadiya woke up one morning to find in his bank account an amount of $750,000 (£420,000), deposited by unknown people, and he immediately decided to enjoy it without asking about its source.

And the Australian magazine "Advocat" reported that the young singer spent $600,000 (£340,000) on a gold bar in a Sydney store, in addition to more than $110,000 (£62,000) in a separate store in Brisbane, where he also bought Expensive coins.

But the source of the money, as it quickly became clear, was a young couple who had mistakenly transferred the money to his account instead of another account dedicated to buying a house.

Abdul Ghadiya left the terrified couple in despair when he used their hard-earned money to enjoy buying gold bars and cosmetics.

The 24-year-old artist, known as 'Selimi', later pleaded guilty to two counts at Burwood District Court in Sydney.

When the police asked him if he had spent the money, he admitted that he had spent the money on a "frenzy," as he described it.

Ghadia was also accused of buying clothes and foreign currency with money originally intended for the Commonwealth Bank account in which the couple intended to deposit the money.

He is now awaiting sentencing on December 2 this year and is currently under strict bail conditions which means he is not allowed to go outside between 10pm and 7am nor can he get very close to an international airport.
