Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa City has started winter business from the 11th.

Lion triplets born in September this year have been released to the public, and many tourists are crowded to see their adorable appearance.

Asahiyama Zoo, which finished its summer business on the 3rd of this month, moved animals that are vulnerable to the cold indoors and started winter business on the 11th.

The highlight of this season is the baby lion triplets that were born at Asahiyama Zoo in September for the first time in 14 years (the last time was in 2008).

The babies named "Fu", "Rei", and "Ito" are all females, and are currently about 45 centimeters long, excluding their tails, and weighing between 7 and 9 kilograms, and are growing steadily. about it.

People who visited were smiling at the adorable appearance of playing with each other and being spoiled by their mothers.

A 4-year-old boy said, "I want to take it home."

The number of visitors to Asahiyama Zoo during the summer period was about 810,000, 2.6 times more than the previous year when the park was closed for 70 days due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

The zoo believes that the exhibition of the polar bear "Yume", which was born last year, and the opening of the new facility "Ezo Higuma Pavilion" have led to an increase in visitors.

Asahiyama Zoo will be open until April 9 next year, except for three days during the year-end and New Year holidays.
