[Explanation] During the current round of fight against the epidemic in Fuzhou, many foreign faces appeared at the nucleic acid detection point. They were monitoring body temperature, checking health codes, and maintaining order in the team.

Although they have different skin tones and speak different languages, they have the same enthusiasm and warmth as other volunteers, adding a different color to the community battle against the "epidemic".

[Commentary] When I saw Aladdin, he was busy at the nucleic acid testing point in Fuzhou Square, Tangbian Community, Gulou District.

Aladdin, 47, is from Turkey and runs a foreign trade company and a Turkish-themed restaurant in Fuzhou.

After coming to Fuzhou for 27 years, Aladdin has long regarded Fuzhou as his home.

I have been in Fuzhou for 27 years. Fuzhou is my home, so when my family is in trouble, I will definitely come out to help. If they need me for a long time, I will always come to help.

[Explanation] After the outbreak, the family repeatedly told Aladdin not to go out, but he still decided to come out as a volunteer.

In Aladdin's view, in the special period of epidemic prevention and control, many unknown people are needed to come forward and protect their homes together, and I want to be one of them.

At the beginning of the epidemic, I made a lot of delicious food, and I wanted to give it to the staff. When the epidemic first started, it was about October 23. I also asked the director of our community if I needed delicious food, he said. There are a lot of restaurants open now that don't need it, but what they need is people.

When I came to the nucleic acid here in the morning, I saw that the staff here were very tired and hard.

Actually I am very happy here today, I am very happy doing volunteer work, I think I like to do this, I do it to help others, I feel that I am useful, so I am very happy.

[Commentary] Aladdin told reporters that many foreign friends who work and live in Fuzhou also want to join the volunteer team. He is also actively contacting more foreign friends to form a "foreigner" volunteer team to contribute to the fight against the epidemic. .

[Commentary] Stas from Belarus is also at the nucleic acid testing point in Fuzhou Square with Aladdin.

Blonde, blue-eyed, and tall, even wearing protective clothing and an isolation mask, he stands out in the crowd. The 29-year-old Stas has been living in Fuzhou for six years and usually works in trade.

Two days ago, he saw that Aladdin was volunteering for epidemic prevention and control, so he took the initiative to contact Aladdin and signed up to become a volunteer.

  [Concurrent] Volunteer Stas

I am very happy to be able to contribute. I can help myself. I have been here for two days, (today) on the third day, (how are you feeling), and I feel tired from seeing others, so I came to help, and I will do it when I have time.

[Commentary] "We are foreigners, but not 'foreigners', come on, Fuzhou!" This is what Aladdin and Stas said most often these days.

In the face of the epidemic, foreign friends charged forward and did their best to protect the city together.
