Nancy Faeser visits Qatar

The football WW starts on November 20th.

Almost three weeks earlier, Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser flew to the host country Qatar with a delegation from the German Football Association headed by DFB President Bernd Neuendorf.

Faeser is also responsible for promoting elite sport.

She wants to focus on the trip to Qatar "the human rights issues that are being discussed around the tournament, such as the protection of queer people from discrimination and persecution and the responsibility for migrant workers who built the World Cup stadiums".

On Monday she will travel to Uzbekistan.

Olaf Scholz is traveling to China for his first visit as Chancellor.
