  This year's No. 22 typhoon "Nigg" (strong tropical storm level) passed through Luzon Island in the Philippines on the night of the 29th, and will gradually approach the coast of South China in the future.

Affected by the typhoon and cold air, most of the East China Sea, the coast of Zhejiang, the coast of Fujian, the coast of Guangdong, the eastern coast of Hainan Island, the coast of Taiwan Island, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, the ocean to the east of Taiwan, most of the South China Sea, and the Beibu Gulf are expected to have Strong winds of magnitude 6 to 7, of which the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, the north-easterly waters of the South China Sea, the central-easterly waters of the South China Sea, the Dongsha Islands, the Xisha Islands, the Zhongsha Islands and the waters near the Huangyan Island have winds of magnitude 8 to 9, and gusts of 10 level to level 11.

  It is expected that from noon on the 30th to noon on the 31st, there will be waves of 3 to 5 meters in the southern part of the East China Sea, the waters near the Diaoyu Islands, the Taiwan Strait, and the ocean to the east of Taiwan. When the waves reach the turbulent area, the wave warning level in the offshore waters will be orange; there will be medium to large waves ranging from 2 meters to 3.5 meters in the coastal waters of Fujian, and the wave warning level in the coastal waters will be yellow; the coastal areas of southern Zhejiang, eastern Guangdong, and eastern Hainan are There will be medium to large waves of 2 meters to 3 meters in the sea area, and the wave warning level in the coastal waters is blue.

  The National Ocean Forecasting Station reminded that ships operating in the above-mentioned waters should pay attention to safety.

In the next few days, as the typhoon approaches, the wave heights in the coastal waters of Fujian, Guangdong and Hainan will increase.
