The inhabitants of a residence located in Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine) can no longer take it.

They have decided to put the SNCF on notice because of works that prevent them from sleeping all night.

Last March, Île-de-France Mobilités and SNCF Gares & Connexions launched a project estimated at 21 million euros to create new access to the station platforms, recalls

on Tuesday.

Since then, the occupants of the building located just opposite have had to suffer from the noise pollution caused by the night work which, according to them, lasts from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

“Our nights have become hellish, the noises are truly horrible”, complains one of the inhabitants.

With around thirty of his neighbors, he created a collective and appointed a lawyer to put the SNCF on notice.

“Work in silence”

For its part, the railway company claimed to have taken measures to reduce noise related to the construction site.

The evacuation of rubble and earth must not be carried out before 8.30 am and the workers have been made aware of the fact of “working in silence”.
