Opposed to a provision provided for in the Social Security budget which wants to impose 250 million euros in savings per year on them, biologists will stop feeding the national file of Covid screening tests (SI-DEP) on Thursday. .

The president of the union of biologists explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

Biologists decided to no longer feed the national Covid-19 screening test file on Thursday.

The reason for their anger lies in a provision provided for in the Social Security budget, currently under debate in Parliament, which wants to impose 250 million euros in savings per year on them.

"From tomorrow (Thursday) 00:01 until Tuesday evening, midnight, the idea is to make a total blackout on the results which are transmitted to Public Health France and to the Cnam with regard to the results of the SI -DEP", explains François Blanchecotte, president of the union of biologists at the microphone of Europe 1.

“That is to say that we transmit their results to patients as well as to doctors, but we make a total blackout on the data which are transmitted to the State”, he explains.

"The state is asking us for 250 million euros"

The biologists therefore chose to block the monitoring of the Covid-19 epidemic, while a slight upsurge was observed.

"The state and the government are asking us to return 250 million euros," says François Blanchecotte.

"Our current biology prices will collapse completely", warns the president of the union of biologists.

François Blanchecotte explains: "If there is a drastic reduction only in routine biology, we will obviously have to remove a certain number of sites to which patients can come, which will in any case refer to nurses who will have to take, send the samples, and therefore it is this network that will disappear.
