The land of Kinana, a cradle of history and civilization, was known as the “gift of the Nile,” according to the name of the Greek historian, Herodotus.

Egypt’s well-established position in history, and the exceptional fraternal relations have causes that were rooted in several axes, the most important of which is the vision of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who saw in Egypt a political and security safety valve in the region, and the beating heart of Arabism, where history was immortalized. His saying: "The Arab nation cannot exist without Egypt, just as Egypt cannot in any way dispense with the Arab nation."

From the same fraternal perspective, the brothers in Egypt view the UAE as the first supporter and firm support for Egypt in particular, and for the nation in general.

Economic integration has become the title of the stage, and its axes included the agreement to support the Egyptian development program in 2013, according to which the UAE provided $4.9 billion, followed by the announcement of a support package of more than $4 billion in two parts (a deposit in the Central Bank of Egypt, and various projects in several sectors). The UAE support during 2013 and 2014 amounted to more than $13.9 billion in several vital areas.

The launch of a joint strategic investment platform between the UAE and Egypt worth $20 billion in 2019, to implement vital projects in the economic and social fields, and the presence of more than 1,300 Emirati companies in Egypt in various projects and investments, reflects the sustainability of the partnership and the unified stance towards global and economic challenges growing, and sustainable investment. To consolidate Egypt's position and stability.

The launch of a joint strategic industrial investment platform between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan, to achieve sustainable economic development in five promising industrial fields, including: agriculture, food, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, textiles, metals, and petrochemicals, through an investment fund managed by ADQ Holding Company with a value of 10 billion dollars. An embodiment of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, of the importance of promoting industrial integration with Arab countries and the rest of the world, by achieving a qualitative leap in the industrial sector, to be a major lever for the economy, and a social and political safety valve for the region.

The non-oil trade between the UAE and Egypt during the period from (January to May 2022) amounted to more than 3.8 billion dollars (about 14 billion dirhams), with sustainable annual growth, and the UAE ranks first among the countries in the world investing in Egypt, and the value of Emirati investments is estimated In Egypt during the period from 2013 to 2021, by about 59 billion dirhams.

These initiatives will diversify and enhance the economy, increase the industry's contribution to the GDP, and contribute to strengthening relations by launching modern projects and industries.

This integrative belief, strong partnership, and well-established political thought and positions, regardless of circumstances and events, have effects that have not only been reflected on national security, but also deepened the bonds of brotherhood and the common position towards many international issues, and will contribute to strengthening supply chains, especially with regard to food and pharmaceutical security. Attracting investment and providing job opportunities for young people.

With the growth of government partnerships and administrative development endeavors, achieving governmental institutional excellence, and transferring best practices, we will see a developmental leap accompanying institutional and industrial economic development, to contribute to the growth of the brotherly strategic depth of relations and the integrative developmental doctrine between brothers, accompanied by the adoption of an advanced industrial knowledge economy in areas that were previously not They are regionally proposed, including renewable energy technologies (which we will see signs during the COP-27 events hosted by Egypt in a few days), knowledge-based industries and the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, advanced and emerging technologies, and the digital economy. And the current partnership is a gateway to an Arab economic union that was considered impossible by the Arabs, but with the determination of the centenary leader, His Highness the Head of State, you will see the light of day with the brothers in the big sister Egypt.

“The Arab nation cannot exist without Egypt, just as Egypt cannot in any way dispense with the Arab nation.”
