The road services of the Savoie department announced on Monday the closure of the Gorges de l'Arly and that of the RD 1212 which connects Ugine to Flumet.

The reason ?

A “small scale” landslide, which occurred overnight from Sunday to Monday.

A few cubic meters of rock fell off, according to France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

A diversion in place

Work must be carried out over several days to restore the roadway and repair the protective nets.

The Gorges de l'Arly and the RD 1212 are therefore closed to traffic until Friday at the end of the day, indicates the Department of Savoie.

A diversion has been set up by Héry and the RD 109. This temporary route overlooks the Gorges de l'Arly.

Motorists who use this detour experience an extension of their journey by around ten minutes.
