Yesterday morning, the sun passed the Abu Simbel temple, south of Aswan Governorate, in Upper Egypt, in an astronomical phenomenon that is repeated inside the temple on February 22 and October of each year.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Antiquities, Dr. Mostafa Waziri, said that the sun perpendicular to the face of Ramses, and to the statues of "Amon Ra" and "Ra Hor my sister," and large numbers of tourists gathered in long queues to enter the temple and watch the phenomenon that is unique to the Abu Simbel temple. .

And the sun perpendicular to the face of King Ramses II, in the presence of hundreds of foreign tourists, along with large numbers of Egyptian visitors, and in the midst of a festive atmosphere, folkloric and singing performances by four artistic groups.

The authorities of the Aswan Governorate said, in a statement, that he was the owner of the unique astronomical phenomenon, artistic and folklore performances within the framework of a festive program that was launched on the 17th of this month, and included performances by folk art groups, musical compositions, and documentary films documenting the phenomenon.
