Tohoku Electric Power is investigating the cause of a phenomenon in which the lights in the area repeatedly turn on and off.

According to Tohoku Electric Power, around 9:15 pm on the 10th, a total of about 1,500 houses in 12 districts such as Yagiyama and Hagigaoka in Taihaku Ward, Sendai City lost power.



In the video taken by NHK, the lights in the area were repeatedly turned on and off every few seconds.



According to Tohoku Electric Power Co., it was restored after about an hour and a half, but according to the police, during this time, there was an effect such as blinking lights outside the house, so a police car came out and took precautions.

Tohoku Electric Power is investigating the detailed cause.



Also, around 9:30 pm on the 10th at the same time, there was a problem that the TV broadcast was not displayed on the commercial broadcaster "East Japan Broadcasting" headquartered in Sendai City.



According to the website of East Japan Broadcasting, from around 9:30 pm to around 9:51 pm, radio waves could not be sent temporarily, but the affected area and the cause are under investigation.
