At 200 kilometers per hour and almost two per thousand, a 22-year-old man in Upper Franconia near the Saxon border caused a rear-end collision.
The man drove almost unbraked into a car with a trailer on Sunday on Autobahn 93 near Regnitzlosau (Hof district), the police said.
As a result of the impact, the car was thrown into the crash barrier and badly damaged, the trailer was torn off and also damaged.
The 54-year-old driver was unharmed.
The person who caused the accident came to a standstill in a field about 300 meters from the scene of the accident after skidding.
