At the meeting, Irzati Zada, deputy director of the Xinjiang Health and Health Commission, introduced the latest situation of epidemic prevention and control in Xinjiang.
Irzati Zada said that from 0:00 to 21:00 on October 2, there were 33 new cases of local asymptomatic infections in Xinjiang.
Among them: 2 cases in Tianshan District, Urumqi City, 2 cases in Shayibak District, 1 case in High-tech Zone (new urban area), 1 case in Shuimogou District, 1 case in Economic Development Zone, 1 case in Midong District; 11 cases in Yining City, Ili Prefecture 2 cases in Wusu City, Tacheng City; 3 cases in Gaochang District, Turpan City; 8 cases in Korla City, Bazhou; 1 case in Yizhou District, Hami City (imported from other provinces).
From 0:00 to 21:00 on October 2, 12 new cases of local asymptomatic infections were released from isolation and medical observation.
As of 21:00 on October 2, Xinjiang has 1 confirmed local case; there are 269 local asymptomatic infections.
