The nomination period for the third edition of

the David Gistau Journalism Award

registered works competing for a prize of

The award, sponsored by the ACS Foundation and Santander, pays tribute to the journalist who died in February 2020, who developed a large part of his career in the newspapers

EL MUNDO and

ABC

, and highlights

independent

and quality journalism that

honestly

and courageously embodied David Gistau.

In this third edition of the award, collaborations or journalistic opinion pieces published or broadcast in

print, online, radio or television

between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, and in Spanish, have been presented.

It will be among all those published pieces among which the jury must designate a new winner.

On October 18, a first selection will be made where the best works will be evaluated and, after an initial selection, on

November 11,

a jury made up of eight experts in the area of ​​journalism and opinion - four from the Editorial Unit and four from Vocento-, will choose the

winner

of the third edition of the award.

The winner of the first edition of the David Gistau Journalism Prize was the journalist and writer Alberto Olmos and, in the second, the philosopher and writer Diego S. Garrocho.
