In the light of an 8th wave of Covid-19, the National Police's Organized Crime Information and Intelligence Service (Sirasco) warns of the use of false positive tests.

According to Sirasco, some offenders use these imitations in order to evade their legal obligations, explain our colleagues from

this Thursday.

Against a few tens of euros, these litigants can circumvent a summons or obtain a suspension of sentence for a few days.

Sirasco identified at least two cases in three months: that of a man under electronic bracelet for acts of murder and attempted murder who had evaded a summons and of another offender who obtained a suspension of sadness.

The two forgers were confused.

However, the authorities are concerned that other offenders have slipped through the cracks and are calling for increased vigilance.

Sirasco gives some advice to the departments concerned in order to verify the authenticity of these positive tests, focusing for example on recording the screening in the Health Insurance database, checking the logo and the contact details of the practitioners or contacting the laboratories cited on the test.

With 1,132,300 PCR and antigen tests validated between September 12 and 18, screening activity is up “sharply” by 33% compared to the previous week in France.

Enough to give investigators even more work since more litigants could be required to present positive tests for Covid-19.
