The daughter of Elisabeth II published a message that was all the more moving, as she said that she had spent the last 24 hours of the sovereign at her bedside.
“I had the chance to share the last 24 hours of my dear mother's life.
It was an honor and a privilege to accompany him on his last journeys,” she wrote in a text published on the official Instagram account of the British royal family.
