Co-sponsored by the Science Communication Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, the "Heaven and Earth Co-sow a Seed" - a plant science popularization activity for young people and astronauts, was held in the afternoon of September 9 at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Space Application Engineering and Technology The center held a launching ceremony.
The event will last until October 30, and on September 21 and September 29, there will also be a live broadcast of popular science themes of "Caring for Space Plants" and "Plant Hand-painted".
At the launching ceremony, students from more than 30 schools in 13 provinces and cities across the country, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Anhui, Yunnan, and Henan, watched the Shenzhou 14 astronaut Chen Dong in China together at the ceremony site and in the video session. The "experience sharing" video of the plant cultivation experiment on the space station, the young students will plant rice and Arabidopsis seeds together with the astronauts of the space station, and observe plants on the ground.
