Enedis announced that 338 streets located in the Loiret municipalities had been deprived of electricity following the violent storms which fell on the Gâtinais sector on Monday evening.

The bad weather has indeed brought down several poles supporting the electric wires, reports

The inhabitants of Sceaux-du-Gâtinais, Courtempierre, Nargis, Préfontaines, Corbeilles-en-Gâtinais, Treilles-en-Gâtinais, Gondreville-la-Franche, Girolles, Corquilleroy, Fontenay-sur-Loing, Cepoy, Baccon and Cravant (Loiret ) suffered power cuts as a result.

Enedis intervention teams were deployed to repair the network.

The strong winds and thunderstorms announced by Météo-France, which had placed the Loiret in orange vigilance, have indeed swept the department.

Gusts reached 100 km/h.

To better deal with the damage caused by the phenomenon, the firefighters had anticipated and installed several advanced command posts.

In the end, they only carried out 17 interventions in the department, all for material damage.
