A 43-year-old man was shot dead in the business premises of a car dealership in Hanover.

According to a spokeswoman for the authorities on Monday, the police arrested two suspects near the scene of the crime after "very precise testimonies".

The age of the two suspects was initially unclear, as was the motive and other backgrounds.

The two men are due to appear in court on Tuesday.

A firearm was found in the vicinity of the two suspects and seized, it said.

It will now be checked whether it is the murder weapon.

According to the information available so far, at least one of the suspects went to the car dealership in the Ledeburg district on Monday morning and shot the 43-year-old.

The victim is an employee in a senior business position.

The man suffered such serious injuries that he died at the scene.

The two suspects fled in a car.

The suspected getaway car is now under investigation.

A sniffer dog was also used – for example to find objects that the suspects had thrown away while fleeing.
