Mohamed Gnabaly, mayor of Ile-Saint-Denis, was opposed to it.

This pipeline reinforcement work should last almost two months.

Not having been informed until the end of July, the elected official fears that the construction site will greatly disrupt the mobility of the inhabitants, many of whom use this bridge daily.

He therefore requested several guarantees from the contracting authority, the Syndicat des eaux d'Île-de-France (Sedif).

Shuttle and securing schoolchildren

Among them, personnel to secure the crossing of schoolchildren, the reinforcement of the frequency of certain bus lines and the creation of a local shuttle.

Mohamed Gnabaly intends to minimize the impact of the works.

The mayor also demanded "respect for the two-month deadline" announced.

As these measures were not all validated on Monday August 29, a postponement of the closure was decided.
