The experimental samples such as Arabidopsis thaliana seeds and rice seeds carried by the Wentian experimental module of the Chinese space station have been "full moon" in orbit, and their experimental progress and effects in the space microgravity environment have attracted much attention.

Zheng Huiqiong's research team from the Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences undertakes the life science experimental project "Molecular Mechanism of Flowering Regulation of Higher Plants under Microgravity" in Wentian Experimental Cabin.

On August 29, the team said that the seed germination of Arabidopsis thaliana and rice in the Chinese space station has been successfully started. The Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings have grown many leaves, and the tall rice seedlings have grown to about 30 cm high and short. Stem rice is also 5-6 centimeters high and grows in good condition. In the future, the experiment of the whole life cycle of Arabidopsis thaliana and rice in space "from seed to seed" will be completed. Return to the ground with the astronauts for analysis.
