The largest city in the country with more than 2.5 million inhabitants, Accra is also the political, administrative, economic and financial center of Ghana.

Former home of African-American intellectuals, Ghana has set up numerous programs to attract this community.

More than 5,000 African Americans currently live in Ghana, many of them in Accra.
