[Explanation] On July 23, the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the United Front Centennial Development Seminar was held under the guidance of the China United Front Theory Research Association and jointly sponsored by the United Front Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, the Party History Research Office of the Municipal Party Committee, and the Jing'an District Committee.

Twelve experts and scholars from all over the country, focusing on the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the century-old development of the United Front, discussed and exchanged in-depth the great significance of the beginning of the United Front policy.

　　From July 16 to 23, 1922, the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai, and the "Resolution on the "United Front of Democracy" was deliberated and passed, which was the party's first special document on the United Front. It has a pioneering important position and significance in the history of the development of the front.

At this seminar, a number of experts and scholars had in-depth exchanges from different perspectives on why the party's united front started at the Second National Congress, and the role of magic weapons in the new journey towards great rejuvenation.

　　[Explanation] Chen Tong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, said that for 100 years, the United Front has played an important role in all historical stages.

Shanghai has always kept in mind General Secretary Yin Yin's entrustment to unite and lead the city's united front around the center, serve the overall situation, build consensus, and gather strength.

It is hoped that experts in Shanghai will strengthen research on the history and major theoretical issues of the United Front, as well as research on the methods and methods of United Front work in the new era, so as to provide intellectual support for Shanghai to do a good job of United Front work.
