Hakata Gion Yamakasa, a traditional Hakata summer festival with a history of nearly 800 years, is held on the morning of the 15th, and the brave "Osamu Yamakasa" that concludes the festival is held for the first time in three years. Ran through the city of Hakata with a dashing shout.

"Okiyamakasa" is a Shinto ritual held in the early morning of July 15th, the last day of Hakata Gion Yamakasa, and was postponed for two consecutive years due to the influence of the new coronavirus. It was held for the first time in 3 years.



At 4:59 am, the first Yamakasa of the drum, "Ebisu-ryu", "Tateki Yamakasa" entered the precincts of * Kushida Shrine in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City.



Then, after going around the flag called "Kiyomichi Flag", the men sang "Hakata Celebration Song".



After this, the men ran through a course of about 5 kilometers with a dashing shout of "Oisa, Oisa", and locals were bathing and applauding the men along the road.



A total of eight Yamakasa participated in "Oki Yamakasa," and the city of Hakata in the early morning was filled with enthusiasm for the first time in three years.
